Støperiet Kulture Culture Center

Norway

Graphic Concrete Støperiet Kulture Culture Center

The old foundry industrial hall, Støperihallen, was built in 1917 and is one of the buildings that remained after Kaldnes Mechanical workshop.

Støperihallen has been a popular place for concerts and plays for several years already and now it has been expanded for usage as an permanent Culture Hall.

The main entrance is situated in the new extension, between big concrete panels featuring a pattern in Graphic Concrete.

Three symbols are used on the pattern; a gear representing the past, a symbol representing modern microtechnology and the Kaldnes workshop logo.
